CHRIS BROWN’S PROBATION REVOKED DUE TO OCTOBER ARREST



A judge has withdrawn Chris Brown’s probation following his arrest in October Brown, who is under felony probation for assault on his ex-girlfriend pop singer Rihanna in 2009, will not go to jail because he has shown positive progress during his rehab stint. 

“ The clinical and medical team have witnessed very positive change in Mr. Brown since his psychotropic medications have been changed and he has been taken off medical marijuana. His ability to emotionally regulate himself has improved markedly”. The program’s director told the court on Monday, December 16th as cited by CNN.

The Judge said quoted “ I’m pleased [Brown] is doing well in the program and for that reason the court is not included to take the defendant into custody”.

Brown showed up at the Los Angeles County Superior Court that day alongside his attorney Mark Geragos and girlfriend Karrueche Tran. In the meeting, Judge James Brandlin demanded Brown to continue his rehab sting and community service. The singer was also asked to continue his prescription medication but he was not permitted to use medical marijuana. Next February 10th is when the judge will make a decision on whether he will order Brown to complete his sentence in prison.

In 2009, Brown pleased guilty to assaulting Rihanna and was sentence to a 5-year probation. His probation required him to stay out of legal trouble. However, later on this year in October Brown got arrested for reportedly punching a man in Washington D.C. Before long after his arrest, he checked himself into a rehab facility for anger-management problem
