THE ‘DON’T WAKE ME UP’ HITMAKER HAS
ENTERED A REHAB FACILITY ’TO GAIN FOCUS AND INSIGHT INTO HIS PAST AND
RECENT BEHAVIOR,’ HIS REP SAYS.
Singer, Chris Brown has entered into
rehab for anger management issues two days after he was arrested for assault in
Washington. On Tuesday, October 30th, Brown’s representative Nicole
Perna said that “ Chris Brown has elected to enter a rehab facility.
Brown’s
representative added, “His goal
is to gain focus and insight into his past and recent behavior, enabling him to
continue the pursuit of his life and his career from a healthier vantage point”.
According to TMZ, Brown’s lawyer
Mark Geragos dropped the singer off at a facility in Malibu.
The
rehab move comes after Brown was put under arrest for supposedly punching a guy
in the nose during a fight at the wee hours on Sunday near the W Hotel in
Washington, D.C.
Brown
is charged with misdemeanor simple assault, reduced from an initial felony
arrest, and is expected back in court November 25th.
The“Look at me now”singer is still on probation for his battery case involving
his then girlfriend singer, Rihanna back in 2009. His probation is meant to end on August 25th
2014. It’s reported that the probation
department will likely determine that the 24-year-old violated his probation if
found guilty, Brown could face up to four years in Jail.
